It has been a busy and productive 2014 for the VST program!
The VST program went live at four hospitals in the Loddon Mallee region. To date, we have received over 100 calls to the VST dedicated line.
We officially launched the VST program with The Hon Peter Dutton MP, Minister for Health and Amanda Millar MLC. Lois, a stroke survivor who participated in the program was the star of the event! Our new website, www.vst.org.au was also unveiled.
In the past year, the VST program staff has made over 15 road/air trips to rural and regional hospitals. We have also delivered 8 stroke education/workshop sessions to clinicians. The Meytec team from Germany were also busy travelling to Loddon Mallee and Hume sites to install new telemedicine equipment, which will be launched next year.

We would like to thank everyone who has been involved with the VST program for their support. A special thanks to our committee/working group members, neurologists and VST site coordinators for their continuing dedication, enthusiasm and passion for excellence.
We look forward to working with you all again next year.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe festive season.
